Lisa Garrison
Founder of Prosum Solutions LLC. Lisa has a diverse background as an engineer and human factors specialist in the aerospace, telecommunications and petrochemical industries. Degrees include a BS in aerospace engineering and a MS in human factors. Companies that she has worked for include Exxon, Sprint PCS, McDonnell Douglas, Rockwell Space Operations and Honeywell. Lisa had over 10 years experience in applying human factors to the to hydrocarbon industry in the areas of control room design, workload assessments, task analysis alarm management and graphics design. Lisa has been the lead consultant for several multi year projects where significant operational improvements have been made.

Nick Dinadis
Principal of Solutions Outside The Box, Inc., a Canadian corporation dedicated to advancing the field and accessibility of Human Factors within complex technical domains, such as aviation, chemical, petrochemical and nuclear. His degrees include a BASc in Nuclear and Thermal Power Engineering as well as MASc in Human Factors, specializing in Ecological Interface Design. Over the past ten years, Nick has worked to further the concept and application of Advanced Process Graphics to the design of control rooms within the chemical and petrochemical industries in North America, Europe and Australia.

Klaus Christoffersen, Ph.D.
Principal of Cognizant Systems Design in Toronto Canada, a consulting company specializing in human-systems integration issues in complex, high-technology industries. Klaus has conducted research and advised clients in various industries including mineral and petrochemical processing, healthcare, transportation, defense and space operations. His applications work has focused on the design of control room environments, with emphasis on advanced operator displays and decision support tools. He has published frequently in technical journals and conference proceedings, and has been invited to speak to several organizations on the role of human factors in the performance of complex, technical systems.

Prof. Catherine M. Burns, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, PEng, Director of the Advanced Interface Design Lab, cross-appointed to the Department of Management Sciences University of Waterloo. Catherine teaches, conducts research and consults in a several complex work domains. She has been consulting in the area of control room design, display design, and cognitive work analysis for over 10 years. Catherine has published over 100 technical conference and journal papers and is considered one of the leading experts in her field. She recently wrote the first ever textbook on Ecological Interface Design, with co-author John Hadjukiewicz.

Sara Chen-Wing
Sara graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering. She then went on to get her MASc in biomedical engineering with human factors. She has worked in the telecommunications, software, nuclear energy and petrochemical industries. Sara has developed human factors program plans, conducted user needs assessments and usability assessments, taught others about human factors, and has conducted task analysis on several levels. Sara is skilled at analyzing complex problems and determining efficient, effective solutions that are aligned to the system and the users' skills and abilities. Recently, she completed a MA degree in human systems intervention and has expanded her work in interface design to increase awareness of how groups develop, and to design learning and change processes for groups. Sara enjoys working 'at the interface;' people interacting with technology and with each other to learn and change.

Johnson Kuo
Johnson is a multi-talented Human factors consultant and software designer with a dedicated interest in designing user interfaces for complex systems. Johnson graduate with Honors and continued his education to receive his MASc in System Design engineering with a specialization in Ecological Interface Design and Human Factors. His work experience includes projects with Hewlett-Packard, Corel, Nortel and Syncrude.

Ron Blair
Software Engineer, Principal of Blair Consulting LLC in Minneapolis MN, Ron has designed and implemented a variety of software including ActiveX controls assisting in the optimization of quality, quantity and safety in industrial process control domains. Ron has a BSCS from the University of California at Berkeley and a MSCS from California State University at San Luis Obispo. In addition to developing control software, Ron is a consultant in the area of software testing and test automation.
